PRESCHOOL ROOM
Preschool Program
(30 months – 4 years)
Ratio 1 Educator: 8 Children
At Kimbercroft we have 2 Preschool Programs. Preschool 1 (16 children) & Preschool 2 (16 children).
Our Preschoolers are very curious of the world around them and are always excited to engage in different activities and conversations. Their creativity allows our Educators to take the programming into a whole new level to expand their learning.
We recognize the significance of early childhood education in shaping a child’s overall growth and development. Our experienced and dedicated team of educators is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where children can explore, discover, and learn through play. Our educators help the children achieve the skills needed for self development and care, and prepare them for kindergarten.
Our program includes opportunities for children to explore indoor and outdoor environments, creating art experiences (visual, dramatic, and music), discovering science, engaging in mathematics and literacy activities, developing social skills, gross and fine motor skills and problem solving.
Here’s what you can expect from our preschool program:
Language and Literacy Development
We foster language skills through storytelling, rhymes, songs, and interactive activities that encourage communication, vocabulary development, and early reading and writing skills.
Mathematics
Exploration
We introduce mathematical concepts though hands-on activities, puzzles, and games that promote counting, number recognition, shapes, patterns, and basic problem-solving skills.
Science and
Technology
Children will engage in age-appropriate science experiments, nature exploration, and interactive technology experiences to develop their curiosity, critical thinking, and early scientific understanding.
Creative
Arts
We encourage self-expression, imagination, and creativity through art, music, drama, and dance activities. Children will have the opportunity to explore various art mediums, engage in music and movement, and participate in dramatic play.
Social
Studies
We introduce children to the world around them, promoting an understanding of diverse cultures, community, and the environment. We encourage cooperation, respect, and empathy through group activities, community, and experiences around the neighbourhood.
Physical
Education
We provide ample opportunities for physical activity and gross motor development. Children will participate in games, outdoor play, and age-appropriate exercises to enhance their coordination, balance, and overall physical well-being.
